Discover how the ETF is navigating the future of lifelong learning in the Western Balkans and Türkiye through the insights of Lisa Rustico, ETF human capital development expert. The EU is exploring the potential of individual learning accounts, and micro-credentials that complement the many tools we already have in place, including work-based learning, which may be associated with great benefits for young people and adults," she says. Had a productive session yesterday morning with the Ignite Sport UK Group Level 2 apprentices reflecting on the first half term of the academic year. We also thought and discussed what is expected of coaches when we teach PE lessons in school and run after school clubs. It is good to see they have taken onboard all advice from coaches and other members of the team as well as understanding how important it is to be professional and to deliver all lessons to the highest standard. #apprenticeships #sport #physicaleducation #coaching #education #furthereducation #tutor #tutoring

Left very wet Cheltenham for much less wet Scotland this week to visit a number of institutions to discuss what the Journey to a Million means for them. The Journey to a Million has additional complexities in Scotland. What we project is a growth in young applicants, potentially offset by a decline in mature students. This, along with increasing demand from south of the border and globally, along with increased challenges around widening access - all in the context of number controls - formed the basis discussions. Nothing better than getting out and about, meeting colleagues and trying to tackle shared challenges and opportunities. #ucas #university #universities #colleges #wideningaccess #wideningparticipation #scotland #IAG #CIAG #careers #apprenticeships #socialmobility #socialimpact #highereducation #universityadmissions #SIMD

The Igbo apprenticeship system, also known as "Igba boi" in traditional Igbo society, is a system where young individuals are placed under the tutelage of a skilled craftsman or successful businessman to learn a trade or skill. This system is deeply ingrained in Igbo culture and plays a significant role in the economic and social development of the community. During the apprenticeship period, the apprentice lives with the master craftsman or businessman and learns the trade through practical experience, observation, and on-the-job training. The apprentice is expected to work diligently, obey the rules set by the master, and show respect at all times. In return, the master provides food, shelter, and training to the apprentice. At the end of the apprenticeship period, which typically lasts for a few years, the apprentice is expected to demonstrate the skills and knowledge acquired during the training. If the apprentice successfully completes the training, he is considered a master of the trade and can start his own business or practice the skills independently. The Igbo apprenticeship system is seen as a way to promote entrepreneurship, transfer knowledge and skills from one generation to the next, and foster a sense of community and cooperation. It is also a way to ensure the economic empowerment of young individuals and contribute to the overall development of the Igbo society. The system is being studied at Havard The movie illustrates the system kudos to Stan Eze #creativity #Igbo #Nigerian #stan eze
