🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We are thrilled to share that our paper "Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing Companies for Achieving Zero Waste – A Systematic Literature Review" has been accepted to be presented at PRO-VE 2024! 🎉 Authors: Ludovica Miele Francisco Fraile, PhD Ana Esteso Álvarez Roberto Rocca This paper presents an overview of AI use in manufacturing to enhance resource efficiency. It first introduces a classification of AI tasks within manufacturing systems aimed at improving efficiency. Then, a systematic literature review was conducted, and the identified articles were classified based on the AI tasks and algorithms used and assessed against resource efficiency enhancement and strategic impact within the company. For 25 years, PRO-VE has been at the forefront of developing scientific knowledge to address unpredictable challenges in a "Non-linear world" through collaboration, fostering resilience, and implementing agile management strategies. This year, the forum is entitled "Navigating Unpredictability: Collaborative Networks in Non-linear Worlds" and stresses the importance of collaboration among different fields and disciplines in managing non-linear Eco-Systems and Societies. The topics discussed at PRO-VE 2024 will include Industry 5.0 pillar technologies like AI and Digital Twins, focusing on how these technologies should be used in collaborative networks while highlighting the importance of environmental and societal values.
