CVR continues to evaluate opportunities for renewables expansions, particularly into the SAF production at both Wynnewood (Oklahoma) and Coffeyville (Kansa) facilities. On the potential Wynnewood project, the company plans to begin soliciting bids over the next few months for offtake agreements supporting the potential conversion of the existing renewable diesel unit to 100% SAF. A potential larger project is evaluating at Coffeyville, where they expect to complete preliminary engineering and cost-estimating work by the end of the first quarter. The company’s current plan is to approach the market in the second half of 2024 to solicit bids for partners to invest in constructing a renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel facility near Coffeyville with a capacity of up to 500 million gallons per year.  #renovable #cleanenergy #insecoenergy

@JDR and @TFKable have chosen Northumberland Energy Park, Blyth, UK, as the location for their new high voltage subsea cable production facility. It strategically sits near energy zones and export markets, benefiting from excellent road, sea, and rail access. This facility will expand the product range of both JDR and TFKable, including high-voltage and long-length inter-array cables. It positions the facility as a unique hub in the UK, capable of full manufacturing of subsea and land cables used to connect offshore wind farms to the energy grid. JDR's and TFKable's investment aligns with the growing global renewable energy market, providing employment opportunities across the energy sector. Longroad Energy, a leading U.S.-based renewable energy developer, has secured $600 million in debt financing to supercharge its wind, solar, and battery portfolio. The credit facility includes a $275 million term loan, a $175 million revolving credit facility, and a $150 million letter of credit facility. This substantial financing comes on the heels of a $500 million equity investment in August 2022 by Infratil, New Zealand Superfund, and MEAG, marking a strategic shift for Longroad towards primarily owning projects rather than selling them. Danish energy company Ørsted has officially decided to invest in Hornsea 3, which will be the world's largest offshore wind farm, producing a whopping 2.9 gigawatts (GW) of electricity. This will be Ørsted's third big project in the Hornsea zone, off the Yorkshire coast in the UK. The Hornsea 3 project is set to be completed by the end of 2027 and will join Ørsted's existing projects, Hornsea 1 and Hornsea 2. The wind farm is expected to power over 3.3 million UK homes, create thousands of jobs, and contribute significantly to the country's clean energy infrastructure. New investment to advance the UK’s offshore wind capabilities🌬️ Dr Lisa Hazelden, CPO of Innovate UK, visited Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult yesterday for the announcement of a significant boost to the UK's offshore wind sector. The £86m investment from UK Research and Innovation to ORE Catapult, will expand and upgrade testing facilities in Blyth, Northumberland to enable the testing of blades up to 150m and drive trains up to 23MW, with further expansion planned to meet future industry demand. By facilitating faster product development and validation, these facilities will reduce CO2 emissions by 2.5 million tonnes and accelerate deployment by a minimum of eight months. Moreover, they will also create 30 new jobs in Blyth and support 5 PhDs a year, contributing to economic growth and job creation in the region. As part of the Innovate UK Catapult Network, ORE Catapult is at the forefront of the UK’s journey to net zero, supporting the development and growth of innovative technologies critical to meeting the UK government's ambitious 2050 targets for a sustainable future.
