HOCHTIEF has just held its 2024 General Shareholders' Meeting in Essen, Germany. During the meeting, ACS Group and Hochtief CEO Juan Santamaria highlighted the great results achieved during 2023, especially emphasizing the expansion of the order book in the high-tech, energy transition and sustainable infrastructure markets. "We see many market opportunities and we are very optimistic for 2024 and beyond. Our forecast for 2024 is to achieve a net operating profit of between €560 million and €610 million, which represents an increase of up to 10% compared to last year". Looking ahead, Hochtief's goals are to: ◾ Consolidating our market positions and significantly reducing the risk profile. ◾ Further develop Hochtief's presence in high-tech markets by leveraging our strong infrastructure and local presence in key markets. ◾ Roll out the new phase of the strategy, focusing on equity investment in these growth markets. ◾ Continue to make progress in the implementation of our 2025 Sustainability Plan. "Hochtief is in excellent shape. We have been building the world of tomorrow for over 150 years and we are better positioned than ever to add value for all our shareholders", stated Juan Santamaría. An exciting future and vision ahead!

Hochtief could truly become a global player once more under this fresh leadership - global leadership in construction is about actively participating in the many markets and becoming local in the process. It is not about administering foreign interest and consolidating balance sheets = hopefully lessons learnt from the past .
