Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) and Global Renewables Alliance joined forces with the Clean Energy Ministerial, Clean Energy Ministerial CCUS Initiative this year to host three side events in #Goa! This collaboration marks a significant step towards accelerating the transition to clean energy globally. Together, we aim to drive forward #RenewablesNow. 👉Towards a 24/7 Carbon Free Energy Future 👉Unleashing Renewable Energy’s Full Potential: setting a global target 👉Accelerating Offshore Wind Deployment: High-level Convening of Stakeholders   During the conference, we had the opportunity to share our insights on the importance of #RE. Despite record breaking installation across many different renewable energy technologies, deployment needs to urgently accelerate over the next decade to keep the world on track to meet net zero. To make sure this happens before it is too late, the renewable energy industry is calling governments to raise ambitions and put in place a global renewables target. We are thrilled to announce that REGlobal, in collaboration with Global Transmission Report, is organising a conference on Floating Solar in Europe on February 7-8, 2024 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Floating solar is rapidly gaining momentum across Europe owing to the increasing concerns around the availability of land for building onshore renewable energy projects.
