September is Falls Prevention Awareness Month and SafelyYou is continuing to help create a #CultureOfFallPrevention, so senior living communities are not only responding quickly to falls, but also moving to a mindset of proactively mitigating fall risk for residents. It means falls are reduced, safety is increased, and outcomes are improved. To recognize this month, we’ll be sharing our top tips for fall prevention—developed from our clinicians’ analysis of over 100k fall incidents—to support communities. And we’ll be highlighting the impact falls have on those with cognitive impairment, who fall twice as often as those without, about 4 times a year. We’ll be asking anyone who has been impacted by falls, either directly or because of a loved one, to share their story with us. For each story shared, we’ll make a $50 donation to the Alzheimer’s Association to support care and research, with a goal of $1,000. SafelyYou’s mission is to elevate dementia care, and we’re committed to reducing falls through a unique combination of world-leading AI and remote clinical support. Donations to the Alzheimer’s Association are just one of the many ways we seek to fulfill our mission. Stay with us throughout September for ways to prevent falls in your communities and opportunities to help create a #CultureOfFallPrevention! #FallsPreventionAwareness #FallPrevention #SeniorLiving #DementiaCare

If figures could speak, they would say that: 👉 One-in-five adults over age 60 have P.A.D. 👉 Three-in-five of individuals who have experienced a heart attack also suffer from P.A.D. 👉 PAD Is responsible for nearly 200,000 amputations annually And yet most people are unaware that they have P.A.D until it reaches advanced stage! Imagine how many lifes could be relieved and even saved if early diagnosis and treatment were present. That’s why, we believe working effortlessly towards accessible diagnosis solution is vital and we strive to support initiatives that raise as much awareness for the disease as possible. For another year, The Way to My Heart’s Red Socks Campaign is shining a spotlight on the challenges posed by P.A.D while raising money to support high-touch advocacy efforts in saving life and limb. Another year when all our joint efforts are needed to transform these black statistics! In 2024, the P.A.D. Warrior Task Force decided to take the Red Socks to the next level to raise awareness for what happens when PAD is not diagnosed sooner. We call you to check them out and if you can - support the cause, spread the word and join the battle against one of the most devious disease! Find out more about the campaign here: https://lnkd.in/gMnxzhnu #PADAwarenessDay #PAD

The premature passing of rugby legend Rob Burrow as a consequence of motor neuron disease, one of far too many rare and not-so-rare incurable illnesses, is a reminder of how much remains to be done therapeutically to provide all people the chance at a reasonable quality and duration of life. Millions of people still suffer from incurable illnesses, many of which strike young. Though most are not so well-known, each of these individuals’ lives, joy, and aspirations are needlessly cut short, and the misfortune sends irreversible shock waves through every one of their families and social networks. The urgency to address this need and the opportunity to have a transformative impact motivate me every day in the work that I do. Through effective use of data, I know we can collectively break through barriers in novel ways to reveal the secrets of these afflictions and develop effective therapies to renew the opportunity of life for the millions of people who are waiting. Not only can we, we must. More information about motor neuron disease and donations being accepted at: https://lnkd.in/dKhPuz2p https://lnkd.in/d3vkrnwK

🧡 Let's Raise Awareness for Motor Neurone Disease 🧡 Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a relentless and devastating condition that affects thousands of individuals and their families. Today, I'd like to shed light on the challenges faced by those living with MND and the incredible work being done to find a cure. MND is a neuromuscular disorder that progressively affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. It can lead to loss of mobility, speech, and even the ability to breathe. The resilience shown by those fighting MND is nothing short of inspiring. 🙌 There are numerous organisations, researchers, and caregivers working tirelessly to support those with MND and fund research for a cure. Let's do our part by spreading awareness and supporting these efforts. 💪 Together, we can make a difference. Share this post to raise awareness for MND, and consider making a donation to organisations dedicated to finding a cure. Every small contribution can help us bring hope to those affected by this challenging disease. Let's stand together and work towards a future where MND no longer takes away our loved ones. 🌟 #MND #MotorNeuroneDisease #RaiseAwareness #HopeForACure
