Solar power! Solar power is a great sustainable source of power where free energy can be harnessed but it has its own limitations and it comes with constraints and attached strings. It is the best source to be used when sun is up and shining. When sun is down, people still need power, a regular source of power from utility companies. Capital is the major issue for poor, lower middle class and middle class people in any part of world. The best use of solor is close to the load, roof of the office or homes and parking lots. Solar power always requires regular power as back up system for night when sun is down! This requires double investment, one in regular power and other solar power. All projects require return on investment or payback within specified timeframe, solar is cheap but still not viable for the power companies, as bulk source of power. The best use of solar for power companies is peak shaving to reduce loading on their big power plants, especially in peak summer months when demand of the air conditioning system is super high.
