#colourpsychology When it is about choosing our business assets, colour is one of the most diffucult areas to choose mostly because of our emotional attachments to colors and the ease with which one can send a wrong message with the colour he chooses for the brand. For this reason, I decided to take a in-depth study of colours from different sources. And summarily, these are what we can say about most colors. Save this as it would be helpful to you in the future. We will discuss colours from time to time until we exhaust the most commonly used ones. #RED #FF0000 Red is seemingly the most overused colour. This is mostly because of its ability to combine with a lot of other palettes and it’s ability to convey emotions very quickly and arouse a result. One has to be very careful with the use of red as it can become a disastrous choice if used wrongly. Red has been said to reduce analytic thinking. It has been connected to producing rash results. It has been used to signify fear and danger. But there are good sides to red. Some of the companies using red are Maltesers, Coca-Cola, Red-Cross, Colgate, CNN, Canon, Levi, Redbull, Budweiser, 3M, ESPN, Mitsubishi. However, on the up side of red, we have these qualities: i. Power ii. Passion iii. Energy iv. Fearlessness v. Excitement vi. Appetite No wonder most restaurants use red to boost appetite and attract customers. The down-sides to red are: i. Anger ii. Danger iii. Warning iv. Defiance v. Aggression vi. Pain And now you know all these, let us come back here for more on other colours. Drop a like and share this post. Are your clients hooked on taking notes and leading an eco-conscious lifestyle? If so, bamboo notebooks will hit home more than a plastic cup might. BUT those same plastic cups could be the perfect choice for a concert venue that doesn’t allow sealed containers. That's why it’s important to consider not only your client’s interests, but the context in which the promo will be distributed. Don't feel limited to products directly related to your industry either. For example, giving out sunscreen at a summer event might be the perfect choice to ensure potential clients hang on to your brand—even if your business has nothing to do with health or outdoor activities. We know that every brand is unique, so don’t hesitate to reach out to us for advice on selecting the right choice for your audience! 🏟️📣 #BusinessTips #PromoProducts #BusinessSuccess #SuccessfulPromo #avenue121 #expandyourbrand #avenue121hasyourback #promotionalproducts #brandedapparel #printmarketing #banners #signs

Mixing strategy and creativity to build brands through effective marketing. Energetic speaker, foodie, soccer player, and proud Dad.
I often ramble about Liquid Death. Here's the story of how they won me over as a brand. Although I knew the company's insight about serving water in aluminum cans at music events so non-drinkers could fit in with the scene, I wasn't completely sold on how they would grow. It's a unique position. I've been there myself. Holding a Dasani while everyone else partied. But how will they succeed in retail? One day, while grabbing a sandwich at a local bodega, I observed a powerful lesson. A teenager wearing a black hoodie walked by me with a Mountain Dew. Then he suddenly stopped in front of the bottled water. He stood there for a few moments. Then picked up a can of Liquid Death. He turned the aluminum can in his hands and read every word on the can. There's a lot of copy. I'll summarize it for you: "Murder your thirst." He smiled. Set the Mountain Dew in the empty slot where he'd just picked up a can of water, and walked over to his mom who was occupied with a baby stroller. "What is that?!" She asked, in a tone that said I'm too busy to mess around with you. And just as she was about halfway through "put it back," he beamed: "It's just water." Her eyebrows went up. They looked at the can together. And she happily bought him water instead of sugary soda. The teenager and mom won. The aluminum can was merchandised with plastic water bottles. It stood out like a differentiated beacon of awesomeness to this young man. The distinctive package design and branding almost guaranteed he was going to pick it up. He was sold before he even finished reading the tagline. And who wouldn't want this young man to drink water instead of soda? We can judge a brand all we want. We can fall in love with our own ideas over and over again. But until you go talk, listen, and observe your customers, you'll have a tough time understanding why they buy. #GOwithPO 📸: Nima Sarram, Unsplash #brand #brandstrategy #marketing

Color → It's often a polarizing topic in a branding effort. Your brand will define the meaning, not the other way around. Like a logo, color is an identifier, another visual cue that helps us distinguish one company from another. Color supports a larger story that will form in the minds of your customers over time. Don't limit your decision to your first-take associations when deciding on color → color is contextual. 𝗢𝘂𝘁-𝗼𝗳-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁... 🟤 Brown = uninspired, dull, masculine 🩷 Pink = feminine, childish 🟡 Yellow = caution, energetic 𝗜𝗻-𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘅𝘁... 💰 Brown = Louis Vuitton 📱 Pink = T-Mobile 🍔 Yellow = McDonalds Fun fact: Over 130 years ago, Coca-Cola lived in barrels sold at pharmacies. Alcohol was also distributed in barrels. At that time, alcohol and soft drinks were taxed differently. So, the Coca-Cola Company painted its barrels red to help customs and tax officials distinguish the two. How's that for making a brand color decision 😎 #brandinsights #brandagency #brandcolors
