🌿 Sustainability week at Tarkett: pragmatism in the spotlight 🌍 As we step into our Sustainability Week, I want to address a crucial topic: there is no magic wand to successfully achieve sustainability goals. Sustainability is challenging. The issues that underline it are complex and interconnected; the route to it is a journey. Progress on that journey is achievable, however. To ensure progress, significant investments are necessary. For instance, our suppliers are taking actions to electrify their process and shift to renewable energies. They also invest into recycling technology, and we are expecting good progress in the coming years. But sustainability is also a lot about being pragmatic. Together and now. By identifying local opportunities aligned with legislation and local realities to reduce the carbon footprint and contribute to Tarkett's global climate roadmap for 2030. Let’s not wait for the perfect solution or ideal conditions. Every local initiative, no matter how small, is a step forward in our collective journey. Every contribution is vital as we strive to succeed together in creating a more sustainable future. Join us in turning challenges into opportunities, and let’s make every action count towards our ambitious goals. Find out more here below: https://lnkd.in/dFGtXcKK

Driving sustainability through innovation. That summarizes the Avery Dennison mindset. Our focus is on three interconnected areas: -We drive innovation through products and solutions that help reduce carbon footprint and advance the circular economy. -We lower our environmental impact through responsible sourcing and production. -We advance livelihoods for people and communities in our global value chain. These areas sit at the intersection of our stakeholders’ primary sustainability concerns and our company’s greatest opportunities to effect change at scale. In the first few months as head of enterprise sustainability, I’ve met with colleagues and partners around the world. Our collective passion and drive to embed sustainability in all we do is palpable. Find out more about our 2030 Sustainability goals here: https://lnkd.in/e-RrHa-D #Sustainability #ReduceWaste

When asked about their big sustainability challenges, Bea Perez replied, "One is balancing between the short-term and the long-term." This challenge is particularly relevant when it comes to achieving circularity. Many organizations struggle to balance their growth ambitions with their sustainability goals. But how can we plan for this? It's a thorny question, but one that we must address head-on if we are to reach sustainability goals that have have an increasingly pressing imperative.
