My opinion: Notion does the best product communication in the industry. I'll explore this further down the post, but first, let me share why I love this tool so much.
I started using Notion in 2019, around the time my first son was born. At 29, with no prior babysitting experience, it was all new to me. This 'kid project' was (and still is) a huge challenge that made me realize I needed to organize my whole life better. A part of it was creation of a crib sheet to recognize types of clothing (screenshot in the first comment). Once you start, there's no turning back - five years later, I have my 'second brain' in Notion, for both personal and business matters.
A few weeks ago, Notion released their regular product update (link in the comment). But what makes it stand out?
Narrative:
⦁ People speak directly to YOU, the viewer. This personal touch makes the communication feel more engaging and less like a generic broadcast.
⦁ The narrative focuses on the benefits of using new options. Instead of just listing the features, they explain how these can improve your experience and productivity.
Presenters:
⦁ We see a truly diverse group of people. As Notion is a global tool, it invites different groups of people from around the world to use it.
⦁ Real people, not professional marketers, present the features. It feels like there's an enthusiastic team behind it, not just a faceless company. You basically want them to earn your money 🙂
⦁ Engineers are involved in presenting features. This sends a simple message: if you join the Notion team, you won't just be writing code; you'll be solving real-world problems.

⦁ The background music is smooth jazz, a pleasant genre often heard in cafes, not typically in product updates. This choice might make some users feel comfortable - and this is exactly what they need.
⦁ The recordings are clear and smooth, making it easy for viewers to understand the message without any distractions.
⦁ Videos are recorded in natural settings, not corporate interiors. This approach makes the creators seem 'just like us', regular dudes sitting at home office most of the time.
