While working through my STOP for Supervision training book, this statement really resonated with me. “The highest level of performance you can expect from employees is based on your minimum standards, so set your safety standards high.” As a leader safety of your team is your greatest responsibility. And if you do not set high expectations, you are almost ensured that your team will not see safety as a priority. So set those standards high, talk about safety daily, and all injuries and work-related illnesses can be prevented! So glad ACE is investing in Leadership Safety training. It is wonderful to work for a company who values team member safety, and puts their wallet where their mouth is to pay for training. Together we are safer. Together we are ACE.

I am pleased to share that I have recently finished the TQUK Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Team Leading (RQF), after completing a two-month course. This certification has provided me with a thorough understanding of how to lead a team efficiently and effectively. I have gained knowledge and skills in managing team dynamics, such as communication, motivation, delegation, and conflict resolution #hospitality #team #teamleadership

FTO PROTOCOL All cops receive training, but they don't all receive it equally. Check out this article to learn some ways that you can ensure you aren't just training your people to be cops, but training them to be better professionals and leaders in life. #fieldtrainingofficers #policetraining #policeacademy #policeleadership https://lnkd.in/gqdbzTh6

Training police personnel is a critical function, but not all departments and FTOs have a great system that sets officers up for success. Utilizing certain techniques, officers can be better equipped to handle life on the job and life after law enforcement. #policetraining #FTO #fieldtrainingofficer #policeleadership

Vivek Antonio , you did it again (actually for the 4th time in a row)! I enjoy every minute of your training on the Youniversity But I admit... this time, I spent even more time and re-listened to your wisdom a few times. You're a motivator to me, and if it happens that I become a team leader one day (if ever, as I'm not in the rush), I will be relistening to all you teach! so much wisdom and motivation in every chapter. just two of many of the key manager subjects Vivek addresses in his 4 series: Seems like obvious, first there was physical safety, then chemical safety now psychological safety. Two first are obvious to us, the latter still seems new... still On the other hand: If you are this kind of a leader that really wants to care for your team as if you're their mum/dad - have you though that you might be overdoing it? Quick check: what's greater: The time that you speak? The time that each of them speaks? and the most striking to me: Learn one skill over 6-8 months - yes this is not hours or minutes, it takes time.. Thank you for you being you!

The future
We delivered the first of two “Train the Trainer” courses last week. One at our head office in Ipswich and the other at Devonshire training centre Leicester. Congratulations to our team who have completed phase 1 of the training. Our project is dedicated to empowering individuals with lived experience to take a leadership role in their own communities, by training our prison leads to become trainers we are trying to create a sustainable model that can benefit others in the future. Having trainers with lived experience can be particularly effective because they can relate to the experience of their peers in a unique way. They can offer insights and perspectives that other trainers may not have. Additionally, seeing someone who has overcome similar struggles can be a powerful motivator for those who are still on their journey. We recognise the value of lived experience and investing in individuals to become trainers. Richard Stewart (CEO) Michael C (marketing lead) Mitchell Corbin (prison lead - North)
