🎰 the month of MASJIEN 🎰 We see recap time as a moment to celebrate but it is also a good moment to take a step back. Same as preparing for a board meeting, you look back, evaluate, translate and adapt. Last but not least, it shows what Masjien is all about and how you could possibly translate that to what we can bring to your company, organisation or projects. This is how we kickstarted 2024! ✔ Position switch for Jasmien with double win: more time for Masjien and a senior Sustainability advisory role at Xandres ✔ FTI Hasselt has kicked off with the launch of the website and press conference, you can already get a sneak peak of the 'circular fashion track' we're curating! 🧐 ✔ Gazet van Antwerpen interviewed Ann, covering the kick ass programme Flanders Technology & Innovation in Antwerp and the ticket sale started, yay! ✔ We presented an overview of the upcoming EU Textile Strategy Legislation and a ‘how to avoid Greenwashing’ keynote at the Master Lab ‘Ready for Europe’ by Flanders DC & Creamoda Belgian Fashion ✔ We gave workshops for 10-year-olds in several schools in Gent, based on the book Jasmien wrote with Judith, ‘Do pants grow on trees?’. The winners of our quiz received an award powered by De Kringwinkel Ateljee, who welcomed them afterwards to show them how social economy works in practice. ✔ Remember we started 2024 by kicking those new years resolutions in the ⚽⚽ ? Our first 20 trees were planted in our Masjien forest thanks to Go Forest ! Onwards and upwards, February - here we gooooo! 🚀 #teammasjien #fashion #technology #innovation #circularity #workshops #keynotes #consulting #FTI #curating #sustainability #textilestrategy

🎉 ECHT is on LinkedIn ! 🎉 🔎 What is ECHT ? In November 2023, the project to Enable Digital Product Passports with Chemicals Traceability for a Circular Economy (ECHT) was officially launched with the support and funding of Interreg North-West Europe (NWE). ♻ #ECHT works towards to facilitate the transition to a climate-neutral, resource-efficient Circular Economy in line with the Green Deal by promoting the cross-border implementation of the Digital Product Passport (DPP). 👕 In the framework of the EU Textiles Strategy, which aims to reduce waste and improve recycling through the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and #DPP, ECHT addresses the challenge of tracking chemicals in complex supply chains. 👩💻 It supports micro and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the textile sector with traceability, enhancing their networks, innovation, and competitiveness. ECHT's first traceability strategy includes action plans for clothing and flooring value chains, along with training programs, with results shared on a knowledge platform to help #SMEs adopt new business models. #ESPR #CircularEconomy #Interreg Umweltbundesamt - German Environment Agency Hochschule Darmstadt Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) Luxinnovation GIE Luxembourg Media & Digital Design Centre (LMDDC) H&M Group Lacoste Pôle TEAM2 EURATEX - European Apparel and Textile Confederation ECRA - European Carpet and Rug Association PUMA Group Neovili Stichting Sympany

Packaging serves as more than just a mode of transportation for products; it acts as a catalyst and a representation of a company's innovative thinking, efficient processing, and quality management. It also embodies the brand promise made on behalf of the company. The design of packaging plays a crucial role in influencing a consumer's decision to purchase a product, as it increases perceived value, drives sales, and results in a higher profit margin. To achieve this, packaging design must meet the mastery of four key factors: Awareness, Knowledge, Commitment, and Supply chain management. A company must also understand the differences between brand and business management, and define differentiation and distinctiveness. Quality expectations must be sustained or exceeded, and packaging design must aim to foster all these factors into one unique delivery experience, which now extends beyond the physical shelf and into the digital realm. This is how businesses and brands grow. I was very impressed by the PAC Global Awards 2023 submissions, innovation and extended experiences were a big focus. One of the biggest challenges for our customers is getting shelf space. That means getting noticed in the shops by the consumer. And, standing out against the competition in the same market - which, at the moment, is rife. So, the key for them is to get their package noticed and get their product sold to ensure they stay on the shelf. At Smurfit Kappa, we’re equipped with a number of tools and techniques to do just that ✔️ We help our customers get their products the space they deserve and design packaging that helps them wriggle their way into their audience’s basket. Find out how we do it below 👇 #sustainability #climatechange #innovation
