More than a moment in history, Juneteenth reminds us of what freedom truly means: the courage to speak, the power to act and the resilience to overcome. In commemoration of the holiday, Associates across the U.S. participated in a virtual event hosted by Gore’s African American Business Network — including a panel discussion focused on the meaning and power of freedom. Let’s all take a moment to reflect on the significance of freedom and how we can all contribute to a more equitable future. #Juneteenth#Freedom#LifeAtGore
It’s always such an honor to be a part of such celebrations. Thank you to the rest of the panelists and the event planners for such an awesome event on such an important and impactful day!
Happy Freedom Day! Today, we reflect on and celebrate African American freedom and culture. However, this day is also a reminder that there is still much progress to be made in addressing the injustices of racism.
In the words of Angela Davis: "You have to act as if it were possible to radically transform the world. And you have to do it all the time."

MAN IS BORN FREE, YET EVERYWHERE IN CHAINS.
Paradoxically, Rousseau's famous dilemma can only be sublated by voluntary submission, not greater control. Here, the republican (and liberal) tradition tragically errs.
Genuine freedom is not attained as subject, but only at a higher level of union, as sovereign. As T.H. Green, following Hegel’s master-slave dialectics, proposes, the well-ordered state embodies "objective freedom" because the self-determining principle within humans finds there its perfect expression. It is the freedom rooted in membership, not the isolated independence of the individual, however well defended.
Cross, cross, and there is no cross. (Martin Luther)

In the intricate tapestry of *Global society* , the *United States* stands as a prominent thread, woven with complexities and contradictions that mirror those faced by nations across the globe.
From towering *peaks of progress to valleys of entrenched injustice,* America's social landscape resonates with shared struggles that transcend borders and cultures.
As distant mountains appear smooth from afar, so too do America's challenges, belying the *intricate webs of inequality, discrimination, and systemic failures* that lie beneath the surface.

From my morning reading on Oneness
(and how America embraces duality instead)
“Equally devastating is the way that duality is manifesting itself in conflict and violence. Duality creates a tremendous sense of otherness. With the otherness comes separation. You often say, my child, that the only thing that ever needs to be healed is the sense of separation. Your American society, at this point in time, is feeding off of separation. It is taking so much pride in its identity of itself as American that it is doing everything within its power to secure its own safety and position in the world, even at the expense of the safety of others. This type of wholesale self-indulgence is dangerous, especially when it is justified by a sense of moral and religious self-righteousness. "- p. 254

The cultural ideas of a country have a direct connection to how we run corporations and our independent work.
The corporation, seeing itself as a deeply identified separate, finds itself in conflict and violence much like a government with the same notions.
Here's to everyone and every organization that is working to create deeply human, collaborative environments that honor our interconnectedness instead of our separation.
Whether it's globally, nationally, at the corporate level, or in your home office.
You are very needed in this moment in time.
Thanks for being here.
P.s. Ideas move better when we move. Movement inspiration in the comments.

In today's world, the question of whether one prioritizes citizenship or humanity is not easily answered in black and white. It's a nuanced exploration of our roles and responsibilities in society. Allow me to share my perspective:
A society is more than just a collection of individuals; it's a dream we collectively strive for, and a civilization is the embodiment of a vision nurtured for greatness.
Freedom and responsibility, often misunderstood or misused, are integral to our lives. Put simply:
Freedom grants us the privilege of choice, the canvas upon which we paint our lives.
Responsibility, then, is the conscientious act of making the right decisions, mindful of the impact on ourselves and others.
As a very famous saying goes, 'First play for the country, then for your team, and if anything remains, play for yourself.' It encapsulates the hierarchy of priorities, reminding us of our interconnectedness and duty to the greater good.
Ultimately, the balance of peace holds the key to true power. It is within this equilibrium that the essence of lasting peace is found, and from it, the strength to shape a better world emerges.
Naman Shrivastava and Shatakshi Sharma exemplify the kind of individuals who not only dream but also actively envision and nurture the greatness of our country, inspiring others to follow suit. Let's support more such people. Let's unite in our efforts to contribute to the greater good of humanity.
The U.S. Capitalism of the Twentieth Century has endangered the values that peaceful revolutions seek to uphold, such as equality and justice. The inspiration behind past revolutions, such as the French Revolution and the U.S. Revolution, was rooted in the belief that all individuals deserve equal rights and opportunities. In order to uphold these values and create a more just society, it be essential to challenge the existing financial class structure and demand change through activism and peaceful revolt. We, the people, have the essential inalienability of enumerated and unenumerated rights to hold those in power accountable and ensure that the needs of all individuals are met.
