It’s a lot of work I know and it sucks, but you got to do it. In 2025 mark my words at the rate AI is moving you will all by interviewing with holograms. I am not joking at all. I was going to post today about a new role I'm opening up in my team Thrivent. The job isn't up on our website yet but I have my boss's permission to reach out to my network about it (no recruiters please). But my lunchtime got derailed by a feed full of people (justifiable and incuding me) angry at LinkedIn for more bullshit LLM data-scraping and then learning that two people I respect a lot continue to be abused by people in my profession. That's not OK and I'm frustrated that I can't do anything about it directly. So let me try a pivot: if you are a senior UXD who is not going back to an office five days a week for Amazon's corporate BS reach out to me about this role, which is really honestly fully remote. Bonus points if you can speak financial services, are willing to mentor junior designers, and aren't afraid of building design systems. More to come, I promise, but for today let me try to fight back against this one particular harm. I am particularly interested in hearing from designers who come from underrepresented communities. I can promise that you will not be a token on my team.
