Our PlayRelief Kitting event with Hasbro's Wizards of the Coast was an incredible success! Thanks to this partnership, Global Empowerment Mission CA, The Moore Wright Group, and our warehouse in Omaha are now stocked with games and gadgets, pre-staged for 2024 disasters. These donations will bring comfort and joy nationwide to children and families facing displacement, providing them with much-needed emotional support and a sense of normalcy amidst uncertainty. #DisasterPreparedness #DisasterResponse #CommunitySupport

Community impact? The primary impact of this firms business model increases homelessness (currently at 10K homeless people on any given night) by gentrifying neighborhoods and forcing people who make less money out. "Global day for people and planet" yet the firm musters up 2 small bins of mostly dog and cat food...this doesn't even align. How about taking on projects that actually help to reduce the number of homeless people in the city instead of ones that are for the affluent population and for corporations to profit from. I hope other architecture studios in Toronto can learn from these fake displays of positive community impact. Many studios like this promote themselves as doing good but really at a foundational socio-economic level, they drive some of the biggest problems in the city. #thinkcritically #communityimpact #torontohomeless
Last week we supported Patcraft's Global Day for People and Planet initiative by filling two bins in our Annex with donations for several SPCA locations throughout the city. Great work team! #communityimpact

Senior Director Regulatory Affairs, Incident Management & QFR Centre of Excellence @ Loblaw | Founder @ SweetLemonAID
A few year’s ago my family joined our first JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes in Toronto. We were incredibly inspired by JDRF’s commitment to improving lives today and tomorrow by accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and its complications. We were overcome with emotion being surrounded by other T1D families, ambassadors, and dedicated volunteers and staff. Our hearts were filled with hope for a bright future for our son Ashton, and all Canadians living with T1D. Experiencing this profound sense of community, we knew we had to be a part of JDRF’s mission to advance T1D, to find a cure, and to accelerate the pace of research to get closer to the goal of a world without diabetes. This is why it means so much to our family to be a part of the JDRF Holiday Match program. A cure for T1D would mean everything. It would mean no more finger pricks, no more needles, no fear of complications, no life-threatening urgent low blood sugars, and no more sleepless nights. It would mean Ashton could be present in every moment of every day, instead of worrying about what the next moment may bring. It would mean no children would have to live with T1D. Today, and every day, we dream of a cure and we never give up! 💙 #givingseason #diabetesawareness
Managing T1D is not easy – and this time of year is especially challenging. That’s why JDRF needs your help to change the reality of daily life with T1D for the better. Until Dec 31st, your donations will be MATCHED by a group of caring T1D families. Make 2x the impact → https://ow.ly/yHwy50QjU9U We wish you and yours the happiest of holiday seasons! 💙 #givingseason #diabetesawareness

This #GivingTuesday lets rally to support programs that make a tangible difference and literally save lives like Youth ALIVE! Oakland's anchor community-based organization for violence prevention, intervention, and healing. Consider this: · $50,000 runs one of our Teens on Target violence prevention program sites for 6 months. · $25,000 helps 15 grieving families bury a loved one if the state denies their appeal. · $10,000 means 300 middle school students learn the skills to talk a friend out of using a gun. · $5,000 provides 10 gunshot wound survivors with services proven to prevent re-injury, retaliation, and further violence · $2,500 stabilizes a family impacted by violence. · $1,000 covers a TNT student’s stipend, a critical, first paycheck for many. · $250 amplifies the story of a survivor advocating for systemic change. I hope you'll join me by making a donation today to build a safer and more compassionate future. Donate here: https://shorturl.at/clPW9
