The pandemic was a catalyst for many businesses to reimagine not only where and when we work, but also how we work. Two years ago in the midst of COVID, our global president of healthcare Cori McKeever shared a video with me of Anderson Cooper visiting a business in suburban Chicago staffed entirely by adults with autism who use their immense talent to provide operational support to a variety of businesses around the world. This company, AutonomyWorks, is on a mission to change the way the world views people with autism, who can struggle to find typical employment. Cori asked me what I thought about integrating AutonomyWorks’ associates into our workstreams, and now here we are two years later announcing the impact of our partnership thus far. This announcement is personal to me, as I have twin cousins who were diagnosed with autism as toddlers and now are in their 30’s. While they are very different from each other, both are extremely intelligent and have a genuine desire for using their remarkable affinity for learning and mastering large amounts of knowledge and skills to benefit others, and I love them very much. We couldn’t have gotten this partnership off the ground without the steadfast support and tenacity of our AutonomyWorks partners, including founder/CEO Dave Friedman. I'd also like to recognize all of the associates who touch Golin’s client work on a daily basis. I got to know several of them when I visited their office and I came away from that visit so touched at hearing their personal stories and hearing the difference they are making across a multitude of industries. Thank you to all of you at AutonomyWorks, thank you to PRWeek for covering this story, and let’s keep changing the way the world sees people with autism together! https://lnkd.in/eTcSgxyB
