This means there are millions of adults and children who are on the autism spectrum who may struggle with interactions with online products. So what can we do? - Simplify language and layout - Avoid flashing or rapidly changing elements - Provide clear instructions and expectations - Minimize sensory distractions Small changes to web design can make a big difference to those with autism. As we continue to explore innovative solutions in the field of interior design, it is crucial to consider the specific needs of children with autism. A recent article, "Multi-sensory interactive interior design for enhancing skills in children with autism," sheds light on the impact of interior space elements and the potential of multi-sensory rooms in developing their abilities. The study explores the sensitivity of children with autism to interior elements and how this knowledge can be utilized to enhance their skills. Through a combination of literature review, site visits to rehabilitation centers, and surveys, researchers measured the impact of interior space elements and multi-sensory rooms on the abilities of these children. One key finding from the study is the heightened sensitivity of children with autism to light. Among all the elements within the interior space, light was found to play a pivotal role in their development. Leveraging this insight, our company has pioneered the creation of interactive light furniture and sensory tablets that cater specifically to the needs of children with autism.
