Good leadership leaves a legacy

On Monday morning, the world will wake up to a new #1 men's tennis player as 22-year-old Jannik Sinner becomes the first Italian ever to achieve this milestone. Jannik is a quiet hero who, through hard work, humility, and the support of an amazing team, has reached the pinnacle of tennis. Here are three lessons from Jannik and his team, which can be applied to any professional team: 1. "The most important thing is to strive to do your best in life. After that, the rest is beyond your control. Life is unpredictable: a match you seem to be losing might turn into a win, and one you think you have won might slip away at match point. Sometimes, to win, you must continue to endure." 🌟 Resilience over uncertainty: Navigating uncertain territories is difficult and exhausting. Getting yourself to focus on what you can control is difficult but something that helps me staying sane when everything feels overwhelming. 2. "I don’t believe in talent as something you are born with. You earn it. You might have slightly better abilities, but it's only through hard work that you'll rise above. The ones who work the hardest are the ones with true talent." 🌟 Redefining Talent: Talent is developed through dedication and hard work, not just inherent ability. Cultivating a strong work ethic can lead to incredible achievements, no matter what is your start in life. 3. "I treat everyone the same way, whether it's the number 1 player or someone cleaning the locker rooms. I always behave the same way, with respect and politeness." 🌟 Respect: Embrace a culture that recognises everyone's contribution to success.
