It is essential for technologists to teach their students about digital citizenship before they get started and are introduced to technology. It is also essential for them to understand the impact and footprint that technology can leave. It will also help to prevent them from making mistakes. It is important to learn about social justice, education, and technology because they allow for the assessment and learning of equal opportunities for students. With the help of this organization, we are able to create better learning environments and standards for students. After taking this course, I would have to say that I was introduced to more websites that can enhance my abilities as a teacher. For example, with Canva, I was able to create fun posters and videos that were fun and interactive for students. Not to mention, I learned how to create a whole online course. It has definitely changed my mind about incorporating it into my future classroom because I was not good at using technology before, and my understanding has significantly grown. 🙂 #EDLT3110_SU24_R7

I am thrilled to share that we have begun an incredible community mapping project with our High Intermediate Family Literacy Students. After identifying places in the community that they were eager to map and visit, we dove right in! Armed with Google Chromebooks, we started charting our course. As we embarked on this journey, I couldn’t resist incorporating some valuable vocabulary. It is always wonderful to blend learning with real-life projects. #communitymapping #literacyprojects #googlechromebooks #digitalliteracy #literacymatters #familyliteracy
