Below are my three takes on the Spilt 😍 : History 🤔 : Godrej Group was established in 1897 as a lock manufacturing company. Today the conglomerate has a market cap of ~ 300 billion with patronage of ~ 1.1 billion consumers globally across real estate, consumer appliances and many other segments. Settlement details of the spilt conglomerate 👨⚖️ : Adi and Nadir Godrej retain listed firms, while Godrej & Boyce Mfg. Co. Ltd goes to Jamshyd and Smita Crishna's families. Reason for the Split 😀 : The Godrej family's respectful realignment acknowledges differing visions, aiming to maximize strategic direction, focus, and long-term value for stakeholders. Have you added more to the brand/institution than you have taken from it? Simply put, for example, if I'm a part of Godrej, have I done the best I can to add great value to the organisation? Or, have i taken more from the brand, minted value through quoting it in my CV, and leveraged it in many ways to further my professional growth? That's my take on wanting great sectors/brands on your CV if you have leveraged the institution more than adding value to it. Similarly, we pay a small (in retrospect) fee and tom-tom our alma mater's name for years to enable our professional growth. Do we give back in any capacity? I would like to keep an eye out for those people who create more value for the institution than take from it. Those are rare people, hold on to them. 😌

What a whirlwind these past two months at Godrej Group have been! It's been a rollercoaster of learning, growth, and discovery, and I can hardly believe how fast time has flown. Today marks the official conclusion of my initial two-month project, but thankfully, it's not the end of my journey here. As I reflect on the past weeks, I can't help but marvel at the incredible experiences and the fantastic team I've had the pleasure of working with. The project led me to an exhilarating exploration of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and employee benefit policies and practices across five diverse industries. It felt like I was on a mission to uncover the gold standard, searching for the hidden gems that would set a benchmark for excellence. But it wasn't just about diving into policies and practices; my project extended to weaving connections and creating a tapestry of collaboration. I found myself in the fascinating realm of exploring potential partnerships with external vendors and speakers, broadening our horizons and adding that extra layer of vibrancy to our initiatives. What's truly exciting is that, amidst all the hustle, I've discovered a newfound passion for my work. It's not just about ticking off tasks; it's about realizing that my efforts are making a meaningful contribution.
