Catalyzing change takes collaboration. Take it from Sasha Chanoff, CEO and Founder of RefugePoint. As we learned from Sasha on this week's episode, bold transformation does not happen with one person or organization but with many coming together under a North Star. For RefugePoint and 30 other organizations, their North Star was fixing the broken refugee resettlement system. Together, they created the Self-Reliance Index, a tool that helps measure a refugee's progress toward self-reliance. The end goal? RET and Action Against Hunger joined forces to represent the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for the Defense of the Rights of Refugee, Migrants and Displaced Populations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC WDN Coalition) in the Third Thematic Consultation of the Cartagena 40 process focused on forced displacement and disasters, which was held on June 19 and 20, 2024 in Bogota, Colombia. This event has been crucial in addressing the challenges and solutions related to displacement in the region. The effects of climate change and disasters increase the vulnerability of displaced populations, and it is essential to integrate gender, intersectionality and interculturality perspectives into our actions. #collaboration #civilsociety #humanrights

✨ PS4L Contributes to Empowering Mothers in Aida Refugee Camp! ✨ 🔷 PS4L organized a special meeting for mothers in Aida Refugee Camp. The event, attended by 20 mothers, was themed "What is Your Motivation ? " 🔷The meeting included several inspiring activities: 🔷A warm welcome and a discussion on the importance of completing the survey for remaining participants. 🔷A shoulder-patting activity followed by sharing feelings. 🔷Group activities discussing types of internal and external motivations. A game highlighting the importance of motivations and their impact on us and our perseverance. 🔷An analysis and conclusion of the meeting.
