A big thank you to IDRF (International Development and Relief Foundation) for their support of our Hurricane Beryl Response. Hurricane Beryl has been devastating islands across the Caribbean. Yesterday Air Canada flew 720 Family Emergency Kits and 720 Emergency Food Kits to Jamaica to support affected communities. The food kits were supported and packed by IDRF volunteers to help feed families in need. When a hurricane or other natural disaster hits, public and private non-profit entities often look to the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA) for financial assistance. But obtaining and keeping FEMA Public Assistance is not simple. With so many rules, regulations, and policies applicable to funding, applicants frequently find themselves fighting to justify eligibility of costs. The recent impact of Hurricane Beryl has been profound, devastating communities across multiple Caribbean islands. During this challenging time, my thoughts are with all those affected by this natural disaster. It's crucial to stand in solidarity with the Caribbean region, recognizing the importance of collective support and committing to contributing to relief efforts. The priority is to assist in rebuilding lives and restoring communities. Here's how you can make a difference: - Financial Support: Consider donating to reputable organizations providing essential relief and aid. - Volunteer Opportunities: Explore ways to volunteer your skills and time to support recovery operations on the ground. - Raise Awareness: Share information about ongoing needs and encourage others to contribute to the recovery efforts. Together, we all can help accelerate recovery and demonstrate our collective resilience. Let's support the Caribbean communities as they rebuild and recover from this challenging situation. #CaribbeanStrong #HurricaneRelief #CommunitySupport #GlobalSolidarity

I help communities become disaster-resilient by creating plans and practices that match their vision of recovery.
As hurricane season approaches, the importance of preparedness cannot be overstated. Both government entities and non-profit organizations play crucial roles in safeguarding our communities. To Government Entities ➡️ Elevate your emergency preparedness by refining your strategies and ensuring resource allocation aligns with community needs. Collaboration is not optional; it is essential for success. To Non-Profit Organizations ➡️ Your engagement and education efforts are the backbone of community resilience. Strengthen your ties with governmental agencies to ensure a unified, effective response and recovery strategy. This hurricane season, the call to action is clear. Review, refine, and ready your plans. Engage with your community, lead with authority, and stand together in the face of adversity. Our preparedness today defines our resilience tomorrow. Together, we can turn the tide against uncertainty, ensuring a safer, stronger future for all.
