Yesterday I participated in a webinar focused on Savvy Counselor Strategies: Tools for Successful University Discovery. A special thanks to panelists Annemiek H. Bailey, Eric Laug and Mark Mangual for sharing some strategies for expanding students' university lists. Great job hosting Adam Wu, Ed.D and Deborah C. from Concourse Global, a part of EAB. I love the idea of the mystery fair activity (presenting unis with no names) - such a great way for students to explore some new possibilities around the globe! #counselingstrategies #planningforstudentsuccess

Thankyou Steven Robert Burgess for organising the Course Reps workshop today, so Rebecca Golds and I could tell our wonderful course reps about our From A to B Longing project, play our game: 'SAY MY NAME'! and introduce our belonging toolkit! Remembering people's names is a simple, yet effective way to enhance belonging. We should all make an effort to learn names, but never be afraid to ask if we dont know! Word association, colours, writing it down, creating a mental picture, and saying it aloud are all techniques for remembering names that you could try. #students #senseofbelonging #studentexperience Alistair MacAuley Dr Sukky Jassi Bethany Chambers Frances Bostyn Edward McGarva-Brown Leeds Beckett University
