Impact stories are so important. One of my favorite "storytelling" techniques for grants is using the plot outline: 1. The beginning: Highlight the problem, focusing on it's impact on the people you serve. 2. The middle (or the change): Highlight the research and outcomes that prove your solution, including notable accomplishment for the past year or period in question. 3. The closing: Paint a picture of your plan for the future. Include SMART objectives and why you're poised to make these a reality. Clearly show how your audience can partner with you to create this brighter future. Happy fundraising.
