GIT: Some of the git log modifiers to cultivate an easy-to-read list that provides some valuable information. git log -10 --> will only show the 10 most recent commits. git log --oneline --> is a great way to view commit history by displaying the first seven characters of the SHA-1 hash and commit message of the commits on the current branch. git log --oneline --graph ==> presents commit history in a ASCII graph displaying the different branches in the repository and their commits. git log --oneline --graph --decorate ==> displays the same ASCII graph that is displayed using the --graph ==> modifier, but also includes the branch name(s) for the different commits being displayed. #DevlopmentAndDeployments

🚀New Project Release: Git Diff File by File Script! 🚀 🔧 As developers, we often need to review changes in our codebase with precision. To make this process easier, I’ve created a Bash script that performs git diff requests file by file. This script compares two specified commits or branches and displays the diff for each file that has changed between them. Key Features: 📂 File-by-File Diffs: See changes for each file individually. 📜 Commit Comparison: Compare any two commits or branches effortlessly. 🔄 Simple Integration**: Easy to integrate into your existing Git workflow. How to Use: 1. Clone the repository and navigate to the directory where you want to use the script. 2. Place the script in the root directory of your Git repository or any preferred directory. 3. Make the script executable. 4. Run the script with two commit hashes or branch names as arguments. Try it out and streamline your code review process! 🚀💻 https://lnkd.in/dt86CPbX

In git, sometimes we commit some changes and remember that there are some changes left which could be included in the previous commit. I used to add a new commit for this. But git has already something for us to cover this scenario with git amend, we can add new changes in the previous commit message. This will also give us the chance to modify the commit message. And if we want to just add the changes without 'struggling' for a new commit message, we can use git commit amend --no-edit [Update: the actual command would be git commit --amend]
