Our Account Director Hannah volunteered as a coach with Girls on the Run Greater Boston this past spring. The program, which met twice a week for two months with 15 girls in grades three through five, teaches the girls lessons that combine the physical activity of running with essential life skills like building friendships, managing emotions, and expressing empathy. Hannah expected to learn a lot about how nonprofits function from an insider perspective– and she did– but what she wasn't prepared for was that volunteering with GOTR helped her to grow and learn right along with the girls.
