3D sound specialist, Henrik Oppermann, creates a game-changing mobile studio using Merging Technologies, Georg Neumann GmbH and Sennheiser 🙌 Henrik Oppermann is a leading spatial audio designer, who’s applied his craft to innovative soundscapes for film, TV and music. His latest project is a unique, compact mobile studio, ideal for field and on-site recording. Using solar-powered mobile batteries and technology from Merging, Neumann and Sennheiser, Oppermann’s new space enables recording almost anywhere off-grid. “In the past you would have needed a huge production truck to achieve what we have with the mobile studio, but with the development of Merging Technologies’ networked audio, we have kitted out the small van with some ground-breaking equipment.” The mobile studio is a converted van using technology that you’d find in some of the most advanced recording facilities. This includes up to seven Neumann KH80 loudspeakers, MA1 speaker correction software, Merging’s Anubis, HAPI and Sennheiser’s AMBEO Cube with eight Sennheiser MKH 800 twin microphones.
