Safety First: an easy to use alarm is the best alarm! ⏰⚠ A personal alarm should be super simple to use and the expectations should be predictable. For both the user, the professional caretaker as well as the family. As a Norwegian study from 2016 shows: https://lnkd.in/eyQQyQSC The article states: “This review argues for an approach to telecare in which the complexity of practice is accounted for and shows how the plug-and-play expectations producers tend to generate is a simplification of the reality. This calls for a recognition that place and actors matter, as does a sensitivity to technology as an integrated part of complex caring practices.” @Genus Care, we have integrated our GPS Fall Sensor into our platform. This means that it is extremely simple to setup, and once connected, the alarm is dispersed to family, friends, professional caretakers or the Alarm Response Centre (ARC) – all managed from an easy to use portal. If you seek to make (digital) personal alarming more simple to use and easy to install, then choose Genus Care. #PersonalAlarm #DititalAlarm #HeartofCare #GenusCare

Communication is crucial. When you fall or when you press the alarm button, you want to know that you alert has been received and if someone is coming. At Genus, we upgraded our GPS SOS alarm button whereby we let it “speak”! If the fall sensor is activated, we let the user know. If the alert has been sent to our Genus system, we let the user know. If someone has reacted, we let the user know who reacted and what the action is. One more example of how we help to make our clients feel connected and feel safe. #assistedliving #connectedcare #elderlycare #elderlyhealth #gpstracking #alarmresponse #socialcare #professionalcare #theheartofcare

Pulsara customer stories like those shared in the article below exemplify a future where technology and human expertise seamlessly blend for heightened safety and efficiency. Director of EMS at St. Joseph Health, Billy Rice, reflects on the impact: “We were doing everything on paper and a few laptops. Real-time situational awareness didn’t really exist. I mean, I’d know my people were out there, I could see the trucks, and dispatch would try to keep track, but unless a supervisor came on and said he had a real problem, you’d just kind of let the event run itself. And I think that’s how most large-scale incidents in this country go.” This is the power of unified incident management and #emergencyresponse through a single platform—triaging, tracking patients, communicating, and managing incidents efficiently. #CustomerSuccess #IncidentManagement #PatientWristbands

It's important to us that we fully consider all aspects of a technology before we implement it and that includes how it makes our staff feel. #Locationtracking technology is a hot topic at the moment. We know the benefits of it on equipment and physical assets, but how do staff feel? We undertook a three month review earlier this year, talking to our staff across the organisation about use cases, how it could work, and what boundaries we need to put in place to make them feel safe and valued, whilst evaluating the potential benefits in being able to locate our staff as we plan for our #newhospital. The next step was a pilot in a non-clinical area, so we can practice installing and configuring the tech before we pilot in clinical areas. We are coming up the end of week 2 in our #locationtracking pilot here at West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, using the Haltian #EmpathicBuiding platform with Gunnar Hansen. Everyone who is using a tag is doing so voluntarily whilst we test it out. Testing is not just about the tags, the sensors and the software. It's about how our staff feel about it, checking we've got the boundaries right, defining our policies and guidelines that keep this technology from organically spreading into something it was not designed to do. We are taking it slowly for a change!
