At NG Companies, our hydrovac service is available at all hours of the day and night, every day of the week. This continuous availability is crucial for emergency situations or projects that require excavation outside of regular business hours. One of the primary reasons for having a 24-hour hydrovac service is to provide rapid response to emergencies. For example, if a utility line is damaged and needs immediate repair, our 24-hour hydrovac service can quickly and safely expose the area without causing further damage. 💻 www.ngcompanies.com 📞 844-NGC-VACS #ngcompanies #nghydrovac #hydrovac #excavation #excavator #safedigging #efficient #damageprevention #construction #heavyequipment #bluecollar #safety #dirtlife #heavyequipment #earthmoving #equipment #productivity #dirt #constructionequipment #heavyequpmentlife #digger #business

This week we will spotlight another Cyclopure partnership with AECOM - Water utilizing DEXSORB – this time for groundwater remediation and subsequent #PFAS concentration for destruction. In May 2022, Cyclopure and AECOM engineers installed a #DEXSORB PBF system to treat AFFF-contaminated groundwater at a California airbase. The system operated for 5 months, treating 500,000 gallons of PFAS-contaminated groundwater, and demonstrated smooth operating hydraulics in a complex background matrix consisting of VOCs, high TOC and iron. Following filtration operations, the DEXSORB vessels were regenerated under ambient conditions to fully desorb PFAS from spent media. Using limited bed volumes of regeneration solution, an overall concentration factor of 5,000x was achieved. Regeneration solution was then transferred to AECOM for PFAS waste destruction by its proprietary DE-FLUORO™ technology. The project demonstrated DEXSORB as a regenerable adsorbent for the treatment of PFAS-impacted water with the ability to separate PFAS waste in a highly concentrated form. This application of DEXSORB removes PFAS from water resources and enables efficient destruction operations, and distinguishes the media from single-use GAC and IXR which produce large amounts of PFAS-laden waste.

#geosynthetics have proven to be invaluable in addressing several challenges related to wind energy projects. Here's how: 1. *Ground #Stabilization:* Wind turbines are typically enormous structures that require stable foundations. Geosynthetic materials like #geogrids and #geotextiles are often used to reinforce the soil, improve its shear strength, and enhance its load-distribution capacity, making it more stable to withstand the weight of the turbines. 2.#Erosion Control: Wind energy projects are often located in remote or elevated locations with high wind speeds, which can erode the soil over time. Geosynthetics, such as erosion control blankets and turf reinforcement mats, can help minimize this erosion. 3. Access Roads: Construction of wind energy projects often requires the creation of access roads in difficult and varied terrains. Here, geosynthetics can be used to stabilize and strengthen the ground, allowing for the heavy machinery and equipment to be transported with less difficulty. 4. Drainage and Filtration: Geosynthetics, including geotextiles and #geocomposites, provide for adequate drainage and filtration, preventing the accumulation of water which can weaken structures over time. 5. #environmentalprotection : Certain geosynthetic products can help in containment and environmental protection, by means of lining solutions for containment areas and prevention of unwanted substance leakages. 6. Cable Protection: Finally, geosynthetics can also be employed to provide protection to cables, which are a crucial part of power transmission in wind energy projects. Major geosynthetic manufacturers that could potentially be key suppliers to various industries including wind energy: 1. GSE Environmental 2. TenCate Geosynthetics 3. Low & Bonar 4. NAUE GmbH & Co. KG 5. Officine Maccaferri 6. Hanes Geo Components 7. Propex Operating Company 8. Fibertex Nonwovens 9. Terrafix 10. Valerus

Introducing alternative fuels into the dredging sector C-Job Naval Architects is tackling this challenge, the company has created multiple concept designs of dredgers which make use of methanol as a marine fuel. Methanol is an easy switch for vessels which previously made use of traditional fuels like diesel, making it a good choice for dredgers. It has no sulfur oxide (SOx) and particulate matter emissions. When produced in a sustainable way it is CO2 neutral from well to propeller. As long as personnel are properly trained, methanol is a safe and effective fuel to reduce carbon emissions. In terms of storage, methanol can be stored at atmospheric conditions and requires less volume than, for example, ammonia. C-Job is currently taking part in two different consortiums focused on researching and implementing the use of methanol as a maritime fuel, the Green Maritime Methanol consortium and the MENENS project. https://bit.ly/3qA5B6m #methanol #efuel #energy #sustainable #energytransition #futurefuel #cleanfuel #alternativefuel #marine #maritime
