Mental health matters for kids, too. 💙 Reposting from Mental Health America That's why we at RAINN and Mental Health America partnered together to share this message on #ChildrensMentalHealthAwarenessDay. With teenagers and children spending an average of 5 to 9 hours a day on the internet, they're at risk of online exploitation and increased mental health problems. It's important to protect children's mental health by monitoring kids' online interactions, knowing warning signs, and holding space for conversations with your child. Today is Self-Harm Awareness Day, a crucial reminder of the importance of open dialogue surrounding mental health, particularly with children. Self-harm is a complex issue often shrouded in stigma and silence. By fostering conversations early on, we can provide children with the knowledge and support they need to cope with their emotions in healthier ways. Let's break the silence, educate ourselves, and create a safe space for those struggling with self-harm to seek help and healing. #SelfHarmAwareness #BreakTheSilence #MentalHealthMatters #awareness #selflove #selfharm #freshminds #freshlittleminds #freshmindseducation #itsgoodtotalk #mentalhealth #teenmentalhealth

Time to Talk Time To Talk Day was launched in 2014 by Time to Change, a campaign to end mental health stigma and discrimination which was run by Mind and Rethink Mental illness, everyone at Econ supports this campaign. Talking about mental health isn’t easy, however the conversation has the power to change lives. We have mental health first aiders and feel this has really helped our staff over the years. Breaking the stigma about talking about your mental health in your workspace is so important, we feel that it’s key for this to be spoken about and reported. We hope you have a great day! #Enablingcommunication #Enablingchange #Enablinggrowth

2wI think it's especially important for kids to be able to see their own mental health experiences on screen. Young people being able to feel that they aren't alone is really powerful.
