GE Appliances, a Haier company, says a $2 billion effort to remake its supply chain has helped it double revenue since 2017. The company, one of the largest home-appliances manufacturers in the U.S., has added manufacturing capacity, opened seven new distribution centers and implemented digital tools to knit together operations from production through to delivery. Marcia Brey, the company’s vice president of logistics, said the changes were necessary to capture more market share and to bolster its supply chain after coping with product shortages during the pandemic. “The way we were running distribution, the processes we were using, it wasn’t a matter of, ‘Well, just incrementally improve what you’ve got,’” Brey said. “We needed to rethink, take a step back and say, ‘Are we really set up the way we need to be set up?’” #supplychain #logistics #manufacturing

By doubling and tripling the prices after COVID for no valid reason. Same things for all other human blood sucking multinational companies. They all manipulated the shortages then gauged the prices afterwards with accomplice governments and regulating bodies. What a shame!!!!
