🚨 BONUS EPISODE 🚨 Full Momentum: an HEC-RAS Vodcast Episode XXXI Chris and I broke our monthly cadence to share an important lesson learned regarding multiple opening analysis in HEC-RAS. If you are like me, you might have been aware of the option to use "Multiple Opening Analysis" when simulating a 1D bridge opening with additional culverts. However, I was unaware that if you don't use "Multiple Openings" to define these separate conveyance structures HEC-RAS won't account for bridge opening at all! 🤯 🤯 When Chris showed me an example of how this mistake drastically impacted the results of an effective FEMA model we received from a client, I knew this was something we needed to share. Hopefully I was alone in this misunderstanding, but I would venture that there are others out there who can learn something from this conversation.
