Many companies show their support for the LGBTQIA community during Pride Month.
However, some face accusations of 'rainbow washing' or 'pinkwashing'—using the rainbow flag or LGBTQIA marketing for profit and reputation without a genuine commitment to fighting discrimination.

Some thoughts: If the systems of oppression are designed, then they were done so purposefully and continue to be upheld and protected by people who benefit from them.
For that reason, creating meaningful systems change requires a profound examination of the mechanisms that perpetuate them.
Convincing those who uphold these systems to relinquish their control and evolve is a monumental challenge. People often protect their interests, and systemic change threatens the status quo, which is met with resistance.
So in my opinion, in our pursuit of meaningful systems change, it becomes imperative to not only recognize the systems' design but also clearly name those who uphold and benefit from them.
We must understand and publicly detail how certain people in power uphold systems of oppression, unravelling the intricate web of interests and power dynamics.
With this knowledge in hand, we can strategically leverage the pressure points that these individuals or entities possess.
This might take various forms - economic pressure through boycotts, reputational pressure through mass awareness campaigns, or political pressure through public demonstrations.
By isolating and applying these pressures, we can create a compelling case for change that becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.
In essence, it's not just about channeling the collective will of communities and those seeking change, it's about making the upholding of systems of oppression untenable by those powerful few who uphold the status quo.
