I'm pleased to share our half-year financial update. Despite the challenges faced across the sector, our performance in the first six months has been resilient. Contract extensions have underpinned our success, even with subdued new business activity. Our unique business model, centred on specialist STEM skills and flexible talent solutions, continues to drive our performance, supported by global megatrends. We are making significant progress with our Technology Improvement Programme, which remains on track and on budget. Three of our largest markets are now transacting business through the platform, showing early signs of operational efficiencies. As we continue this journey, we are excited about the additional scale benefits to be realised, moving towards our vision of becoming a digital-first innovator. As we enter the second half of the year, the market sentiment remains unchanged. Robust contract extensions reflect our clients' need to retain essential STEM expertise. We remain laser-focused on executing our vision, and with our people, position, and processes aligning with our digital-first approach, the long-term future is bright. 📚 Another enriching session at our Strategic Consulting Club, part of Arison School of Business! 🔑 This week, we had the privilege of learning from Lidor Rozentzvaig, a Partner and Consultant at KPMG Israel, who provided invaluable insights into financial reporting and equity valuation. Gratitude to Lidor for a comprehensive discussion on the importance of financial reports, illustrated through case studies of prominent companies such as Amazon, Rami Levy, and Fox. The exploration of financial statements shed light on the intricate processes behind understanding a company's financial health. We delved into a key methods for equity valuation: Discounted Cash Flow (DCF): Analyzing the present value of future cash flows, incorporating free cash flow projections and operational free cash flow yield. Understanding that cash today is more valuable than cash in the future, we explored how predicting a company's future cash flows involves a careful examination of its income and expenses. The session illuminated the importance of understanding metrics like Free Cash Flow, Capital Recirculation, and Cash Conversion Cycle.
