"Within 24 hours of learning new information, we forget almost half of it"
You'll most likely forget this post in 24 hours as our brains consume the endless micro-content posted on every social media channel.
Do yourself and your team a favour. Pause, download, and read the guide. You and your people will thank you for taking the time, focusing on your personal development and APPLYING something you've learnt.
What stops the "forgetting curve" is thinking about what you've consumed, how you can apply that knowledge, and giving it a try the same day. It may work, or it might be utterly useless, but that is what great leaders do! They try new ways or even old forgotten ways of working and leading.

Within 24 hours of learning new information, we forget almost half of it. That’s why once-a-year leadership development sessions are easily forgotten.
We know this from the Forgetting Curve, which shows how quickly we forget new information if we make little effort to retain it. Coupled with the Spacing Effect which highlights how long-term habit formation occurs when learning opportunities are spaced out.
To make leadership development stick, we need engaging, ongoing, and personalised opportunities tailored to our individual needs. Just like the old adage – no one size fits all.
