Quality vs Quantity, every time.

The Dalton team did some amazing work in the Heritage Gallery at the Porsche Experience Center Atlanta. With such beautifully engineered automobiles in the space, it can be a daunting task to design the environmental graphics. Fortunately, our team made very smart choices to enliven the space and capture the essence of the Porsche experience. - The first collaborative decision with the client was to change the storyline from one about the "features" of Porsche automobiles to one about the "feelings" of the Porsche experience. - Next, our team made very simple, but incredibly powerful, updates to how the graphic spaces were used. From breaking up graphic panels that were previously duplicated to extending a graphic across an adjacent wall that was previously left blank. - The final touch was a complete rethinking of the gallery cards which previously featured only technical specifications and short historical notes about each automobile. Quotations from the individual owners who graciously lend their vehicles to the Heritage Gallery are now the prominently featured headlines about each automobile. The end result is a powerfully engaging space that is relatable to visitors across the spectrum--from owners with multiple Porsche automobiles to the newest aspiring fans. #environmentaldesign #environmentalgraphicdesign #brandedenvironments #environmentalgraphics #experientialdesign #design #creatives #whatinspiresme

Building Support Systems: Recovery from substance abuse requires not only professional treatment but also strong support systems and a sense of belonging. Let’s foster communities where individuals feel supported on their journey to recovery. Creating Change: It’s time to come together as a community to break down stigma, increase access to resources, and advocate for policies that support those facing poverty, homelessness, and substance abuse. Together, we can be the catalyst for change and create a brighter future for all. All good things come to those who wait, but if you’ve been in the exhibition industry for a while you must also have been waiting for what seems like forever for the work in and around Olympia Events to complete? On site this week for the build and handover of the stylish dual site Argenbright Security Europe Limited - ASEL stand at Retail Technology Show, and I couldn’t help but notice the stark differences and surprising similarities between our work and the mammoth project that is the Olympia upgrade. Crawling through west London to get to the site is what London traffic is, but the sheer number of workers, hoardings, and caution signs and bulletin boards makes this site a tricky one to tackle in its current state, but somehow there is ‘work in progress’. For us and ASEL, we arrived and constructed within 48 hours. We’ll pack down the site at the show close and return again when it's next on our calendar in 2025. But since this project started in 2021, the appearances for Olympia based events are looking fewer and fewer, next year’s Retail Technology has already confirmed it will be relocating to Excel across the city. Olympia has been one of the industry's key venues. Looking at the site plans the work is on track to complete by Q4 2024 👍 But this new era for Olympia feels like it’s ushering in significant change that could see the traditional space somewhat repurposed. The future of the exhibition venue? Let’s wait and see. For now though, we’ll persist through the traffic, the construction, the fight for catering, and for me anyway, marvel at the design and engineering of this significant redevelopment. Problematic as it is to work with, it is incredible and I can’t wait to see the end result, much like ASEL did once we handed over their eye-catching exhibit on Wednesday.
