That was it! 🎉 Our first (international) trade fair and what an incredibly kick-ass week it was. First of all, many thanks to the IFAT worldwide organisers for a great fair. In addition, we would like to thank our colleagues for their hard work to make this first fair a success. 📈 And it was!!! A great big success it certainly was. Here is a small summary: ♻️ Introduction to our new sector of wastewater treatment plants ♻️ New contacts in the composting sector ♻️ Concrete meetings with companies exhibiting at the fair ♻️ New contacts from the Netherlands, Belgium and India, where we are already represented ♻️New leads from countries such as Ecuador, Chile, France, Italy and Spain Starting this week, the kickstart to approach all interested parties and turn our meetings into concrete deals!🚀

As a business owner, you may have considered presenting your company at an international trade fair to showcase your products or services, network with potential partners or clients, and gain exposure to new markets. But is it worth the time, money and effort? Here are some pros and cons of participating in an international trade fair. Pros: - You can reach a large and diverse audience of buyers, suppliers, distributors, investors and media representatives from different countries and regions. - You can demonstrate your products or services in person, answer questions, collect feedback and generate leads. - You can learn from your competitors, discover new trends and opportunities, and benchmark your performance. - You can build your brand awareness and reputation, establish trust and credibility, and enhance your image as a global player. - You can create or strengthen your business relationships, find new partners or collaborators, and expand your network. Cons: - You may face high travel costs, accommodation, registration, booth design and setup, marketing materials, shipping, insurance and taxes. - You may encounter logistical challenges such as customs clearance, transportation delays, language barriers, cultural differences and legal issues. - You may have to deal with fierce competition, price wars, intellectual property theft, counterfeit products or unfair trade practices. - You may have to allocate a lot of time and resources to prepare for the trade fair, train your staff, follow up with leads and evaluate the results. - You may have to deal with stress, fatigue, jet lag, health risks or security threats.
