Powerful words and a strong message that need to be shared!
Simple. No actors. No celebrities. No special effects. No voice over. Nothing to sell. Nothing to buy. Just words, on a black screen with a blue square supported by very minimal music to hopefully give people pause and make them pay attention to what is really happening around us. One of the most important, if not the most important work JSM Music has had the privilege to be a part of. Thank you to Wunderman Thompson, Robert Kraft, Foundation to Combat Antisemitism and #StandUpToJewishHate for NOT remaining silent. "In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." ~ MLK "Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented." — Elie Wiesel #JSMMusic

Moral of the story. Listen to yourself. Be aware of when you are wrong, but recognize when you are right. Don't wait for someone to discover you. Cast yourself as the star. We could've kept waiting for some investor to give us money, but instead we chose to build. CogBias AI exists, because we chose to build. Patience and perseverence is what drives success. #ai #startups
On Jay-Z's 54th birthday, a reminder that after getting rejected from multiple labels, he decided to start his own. “I went to every single record label. They said this guy is terrible. He’s nothing." He'd go on to become the first living rapper inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, selling over 140 MILLION records, and achieving 14 No. 1 albums — the most ever by a solo artist. Happy birthday, HOV. 🐐 (🎥: MTV)

The way fans have embraced Post Malone's foray into country music is a great example of how many long-standing walls of genre delineation are being broken down today. Alongside the popularity of genre-fluid playlists such as "POLLEN" and Lorem," the success of this track demonstrates that fans are more open-minded than ever to new sonic textures -- they just want to FEEL a certain way. Music is becoming less and less about genre, and more and more about MOOD. Meanwhile, a swarm of up-and-coming independents are releasing music that is nearly impossible to classify into one particular genre. I consider this a victory for artists and producers, as a broader range of the palette becomes available, allowing them to paint their story in richer, more vibrant color than ever. One thing that has not changed in Posty's whole career--the dude (and his team) write really, really good songs. Structurally, lyrically, visually, and emotionally appealing. The genre aspect is really cool packaging...and I'm here for it. What do you think? Do you mourn the loss of genre? Do you enjoy when an artist you love take a sharp left turn into new territory?

The Voice is the only competition show I truly love. In the first place, I'm a music geek, have played saxophone for 4 decades and can tear up at a 3-note intro of certain songs. This show is special, though. The talent they find, and the philosophy of the whole setup with coaches from all genres to impart wisdom as they "compete." It's just the most beautiful thing to see these (mostly) young people becoming real artists in real time. There have been multiple disabled people on the show, including artists with hearing loss, autistic artists, people of every race, some as old as 60 and as young as 13. The coaches are always complimentary and constructive as they also complete to create the best team that will produce the ultimate winner. Guest mentors come from all genres of music and everyone is focused on guiding the contestants to produce their best performance. It really makes me think of how our workplaces could all use this kind of structure/organization. Or at least the attitude of promoting and encouraging excellence in all others through non-competition.
