Important update in dementia care advancements! Anju Paudel, PhD, RN, at Pennsylvania State University has been awarded $250,000 by the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Provider Roundtable to support groundbreaking research aimed at transforming care interactions between assisted living staff and residents living with dementia. This study will introduce and assess the QUALity of Interactions Inventory (QUALII), a novel tool designed to enhance and evaluate positive interactions, aiming to improve care quality, treatment responses, and resident satisfaction. In a field where understanding and connection are crucial, this initiative marks a significant step forward in optimizing care delivery and fostering joy within communities. At Franciscan Ministries, we're all about creating communities filled with connection and joy, and we're thrilled to support this push towards improving resident satisfaction.
