Quantitative Analyst and Operations | M.S. in Mathematics | Data Scientist | Outcome Oriented | Problem Solver
Anyone who knows me knows how important math education and accessibility are to me. That is why, I am so proud to get to continue my relationship with the Urban and Environmental Policy Department at Tufts University, even after graduating 🐘 . Working alongside so many ambitious returning students as they pursue new degrees is so rewarding. I learn so much about the fields my students are experts in. In exchange, I aim to combat some of that math anxiety they might still hold from back in their undergraduate days. Being an Instructor of Record has allowed me complete freedom to structure my courses to best serve my students. Having to independently conceptualize concepts, construct materials, and execute lectures has raised both my technical understanding as well as my communication skills. 🎥 Below is a clip from the first of our Summer Algebra Bootcamps, designed to dust off the cobwebs and familiarize students with expectations as they enter their quantitative science courses:

https://lnkd.in/gKPpV58x After finished making this video, one thing I have realized is that abstract thinking really helps in making connections between things. Concepts that seem very different in a higher-level context can be closely related in a lower abstraction sense. Applying both high and low-level thinking together can really help in learning both concepts. And also, this is my first time joining summer of math exposition.
