This is incredibly powerful.
This is so powerful. For 11 months of the year, our Armed Forces get very little recognition. Yet generations of them have put their lives on the line for their country. Remembrance Day will be in the past soon. Poppies will be thrown away and our Servicemen and women will be forgotten again. But they continue to serve their country 365 days a year. All they ask is that when they leave, they receive recognition for their service. #hireaveteran

Transition stress and boundaries. The difference between how the armed forces/first responders operate and the civilian workplace. In the armed forces and first responders community you have a duty to yourself and others around you much more so than civilian counterparts. When leaving there is an adjustment period where it can be difficult to understand where the civilian colleague is coming from as they can say "I have finished, I am off home" this concept can be alien to the uniformed service leaver they can see it as being "Jack" and not completing the task. If you'd like to know more and find out how we can work with you email: [email protected] #whatmakesthedifference #transitionstress #armedforces #firstresponders

Got it. Canadian Armed Forces | Forces armées canadiennes is in deep trouble. Self-inflicted wounds at highest levels of leadership. Zero political support from either major party. Recruitment failing to fill ranks and retaining qualified and capable Armed Forces members difficult with promising opportunities out of uniform. So let's stop beating a dead horse and start working on solving the problem. There are no #SilverBullet solutions and miracles won't happen overnight. However #leadership with a big L, focus on people and not stopgap measures, acting on family support and reducing the handicap long term commitments demanded of personnel will all help to fix the problems. Our allies are also struggling with the same issues and in many cases have tried the same measures which failed in the past. Look at this generation and address their very real concerns or don't be surprised when they pass on joining the military. https://lnkd.in/gmwpRtW8

People from the Armed Forces have so much to offer in terms of leadership and complementary skills. That’s why we’re proud to re-sign the Armed Forces Covenant and commit to a series of pledges that will take us up to gold level. In terms of how we’re an Armed Forces friendly company, our policies include increasing annual paid leave for reservists, as well as working with organisations to give people leaving the forces important work experience and opportunities to put their skills to use.
