The IAA Mobility in Munich has just ended. It was an incredible event in which I had the pleasure to meet very interesting professionals but also to touch and test several EVs. It is nice to see how much the customer focus - and therefore the OEMs competition - has shifted mainly to the infotainment system and connectivity. Almost all the OEMs are struggling with these new technologies. Furthermore, customer needs are constantly changing and evolving - addressing them in the proper way requires not only customer centricity but also an Agile organisation to enable new ways of working and allow to rapidly include additional requirements in solutions definition as well as to extend the offering incrementally. In this sense, partnering with the right suppliers is becoming really crucial to be successful - deploying all the capabilities and components internally would be inefficient as well as a huge challenge. Finally, I was fascinated by the role of sustainability in promoting innovation. Looking forward to participate in other similar events that foster connections that would definitely help the industry move forward!

Back from a couple of intense days at IAA MOBILITY in Munich. Interesting to see how the mobility business is changing fast. Big focus on sustainability (quite a few different ideas about how to get there) and CX across the whole user journey as the big differentiators. We're seeing many new Chinese BEV brands, a couple of smart urban mobility solutions and loads of new players in the field of mobility like payment, AI, software platforms, hardware, etc. It's truly becoming an eco system with many different types of stakeholders. These are interesting times, indeed :-)

IAA MOBILITY is in full swing and a lot has been already said about it - my personal take away? The concept of the open spaces is more than just a great idea - it really works and is fascinating to see how brands attract attention. Nevertheless the main focus remains presentation of vehicles and less ideas of integrated mobility and how digitization can support in this transition. Therefore feel free to join our panel discussion tomorrow where we will not cover all question in this regard but at least start a conversation on how we as an industry can become more customer focused. I had the opportunity to meet in-person a great core team responsible for #goTOzero retail project-sustainability at #VW Group and all #brands. One key takeaway from the workshop was the importance of shifting mindset from viewing costs to recognizing value drivers as the key to achieving decarbonization in the value chain. Next workshop with my Core team colleagues from VW Group and brands. What is special - everyone is onsite, some of us had to start at 4 a.m. to join the meeting. But it does worth it when we come together, spend the day in intensive - sometime very heated - discussions and then all say that it was great: ✅ How to scale and engage more markets to join the retail decarbonization? ✅ How to handle the legal topics and standards of retail sustainability? ✅ What are the benefits of VW energy consulting for retailers, what did the pilot tell us? ✅ How to organize annual goTOzero retail conference best and what is the main focus? These are just some topics on the Agenda. The time flew super fast and we've all got our to do’s to bring the project to the next level Happy indeed to be a part of the great team and feel the power of the brands! We are strong together!
