Banana leaf juice in Kesari ? Interesting combination, let’s see what science has to say . Banana leaf extract has flavonoids,a polyphenol called Rutin ,Quercetin and chlorophyll. There are no human studies at present which I could find but there are animal studies with banana leaf extract and positive effects on immunity, anti bacterial, anti viral, anti allergy capabilities were seen . RUTIN also shows anti diabetic effects . Basically there were no side effects in animals . This leads to a cascade of changes in our bodies that precipitate symptoms of asthma & allergies such as hay fever, whilst also predisposing us to these ailments in the long term. This is what makes dysfunctional breathing an underlying cause of asthma & allergies – a contributor which often goes unrecognised & unaddressed in both conventional & natural medicine practices.
