Recently, my conversation with my kids transitioned from discussing Painting/Art to Gen AI. In less then 5 minutes, prompts helped me to create art, contrasting with Leonardo's Monalisa. Although the result was impressive but it lacked intrinsic value, creativity and effort. Earlier childern were sitting with crayons and papers, lost for hours in their own world, drawing fantastical creatures and dreamscapes. Recently, I watched kid of the digital age, try to create a picture. Instead of drawing freely, she used an AI app to suggest images and colors. Instead of freely drawing & efforts, the kid's work reflected the influence of algorithms, a poignant reminder of AI's impact on imagination.
