As part of FMC’s commitment to advancing gender equity and empowering women in agriculture, a cohort of six FMC women leaders participated in the 2023 Accelerator Mentorship Program, an initiative led by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Agri-Food Network (IAFN). The program focuses on supporting African women-led businesses in the agrifood system with the tools and resources necessary to grow and adapt to an ever-changing marketplace. Through one-to-one mentorship, Ying Ling Tan, FMC Commercial Excellence and Business Development leader, had the incredible opportunity to work closely with Hadiza Tassiwa Mshelia, founder of Tassiwa Multipurpose Services, offering guidance and support to help her grow and succeed in her business #FMC #WomenInAgriculture #Mentorship #FAO #IAFN #Empowerment #SustainableFutures

Brazil’s agriculture sector produces an important share of the world’s food supply and makes critical contributions to jobs and trade. As the world seeks more sustainably grown commodities, innovation is vital to maintaining the sector and creating long-term economic growth. We welcomed the opportunity to discuss these issues and the innovative technologies we’re bringing to farmers in the region with Rodrigo Godinho, Minister Counselor – Economic and Environmental Section Embassy of Brazil and Ana Lucia de Paula Viana, Agricultural Attache, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock. We are proud to support the National Black Growers Council’s (NBGC) work to empower Black row crop farmers across the U.S. The Council’s passion and commitment to bringing new knowledge and resources to farmers was evident during their recent Model Farm Tour in Greenville, Mississippi. “The exchange of knowledge and ideas, and the way they’re bringing awareness of new technologies and opportunities in the space, is really impressive,” said Julie DiNatale, vice president and chief sustainability officer at FMC. “I was thrilled to see so many farmers attend the event.” “When we go to work, we need the right tools in the toolbox to get the job done,” said P. J. Haynie, Chairman, NBGC. “I am happy to see companies like FMC providing the right tools in the chemistry toolbox for crop protection. Their product is definitely on the truck!”

John Raines has been elected to the FMC Board of Directors, effective July 15, 2024.     “We are pleased to welcome John to the FMC Board of Directors,” said Pierre Brondeau, FMC chairman and chief executive officer. “He brings extensive knowledge and experience as a global executive of major agriculture and food businesses. His oversight of M&A transactions and implementation of modern technology into the agriculture sector positions him to deliver substantial contributions to the board. Last week, FMC announced a definitive agreement to sell Global Specialty Solutions business to Envu.     “I am excited to bring GSS’s leading portfolio of products, robust pipeline and dedicated team of experts to Envu. Modern chemistries and novel biological solutions like these are helping farmers in Sweden – and around the world – manage growing resistance to older technologies while saving valuable time and resources.
