How do Flixies push boundaries?   Meet Paulo Azevedo, a Senior Software Solutions Architect in Berlin whose favorite comfort food is spaghetti carbonara (but please, no cream in the sauce!)   When he’s not trying his hand in the kitchen, Paulo pushes boundaries by organizing FlixLabs, our quarterly hackathon. Over the course of three days of work, Paulo and his teammates leveraged Google’s Dialogflow technology to create a hotline for customers to check if a ticket was available before connecting them with a customer service agent. This required the team to work with unfamiliar languages, like Polish, which nobody in the team spoke.   In Paulo’s words, "I was working with a colleague from the localization team, and we were going through all sorts of barriers. We engaged in a quarterly planning session, a product brainstorm, and a challenging 2-day hackathon. The remainder of our time was dedicated to entertainment and strengthening team bonds. 🎯 Set Clear Objectives Our retreat goals were to strengthen team connections, align on strategic goals for the upcoming quarter, and drive innovation through our hackathon. Week 2 Reflections at Techstars Berlin 2023! Phew! Week 2 has just blown by at Techstars Berlin 2023, and Mentor Madness was nothing short of... well, madness! But every conversation, every bit of advice, was a step toward crystallising enzum's direction. An interesting revelation? Sometimes our CTO Ana Gerlich and I would hear diametrically opposite advice from two mentors within a span of hours. I guess that juxtaposition of differing perspectives was a testament to the dynamic nature of what we're trying to do here. The richness of these sessions brought to mind a quote by Walt Whitman: "Do I contradict myself? Very well, then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes." This week reminded me that embracing contradictions, rather than avoiding them, can lead to deeper insights and breakthroughs. Week 3, we’re coming for you - slightly disheveled, very caffeinated, and ready for whatever you throw our way! ☕️🚀

My First Hackathon Experience ✓ The 2nd place amidst 50 innovative projects in the healthcare and well-being domain ✓ Krakow, Poland ✓ Europe’s largest offline hackathon - HackYeah ✓ 3,000 participants ✓ Our powerhouse team of 5, including myself (BA/Product), Anastasiia Kutnenko(AQA), Raman Aliaksanau (full stack), Vika Petrenko (back), and Olga Gladyr (ux/ui) It was an electrifying and ambitious journey! Everything kicked off with a simple idea: crafting a user-friendly mobile app for storing medical documents. This seed of creativity blossomed into a colossal project, brimming with a plethora of features slated for a decade of development. In just 24 hours, we brought to life a comprehensive UX/UI concept, fundamental app functions, and introduced a killer feature. ✓ Making it to the top 5 was unexpected ✓ Clinching the 2nd spot, utterly surreal It was my maiden voyage into the world of idea and product pitching. Although nerve-wracking, the unwavering support from my team transformed it into a near-perfect presentation. Kudos to my squad - you're phenomenal! A special shoutout to our mentors, particularly Kamil Homernik. His dedicated assistance and knack for connecting us with seasoned professionals enriched our brainstorming sessions immeasurably. The event was a melange of electrifying atmosphere and dynamic energy. Partners’ activities, pizza, beer, sleeping quarters, and opportunities for collaborations painted a vibrant picture of networking, ambition, and inspiration. The hours of 2 to 7 a.m. were a test of endurance, but the relentless spirit of our devs turned those challenging moments into a time of productivity. Walking away with the 2nd place, enhanced skills, newfound connections, a boost of motivation, and infinite possibilities was exhilarating. This might be the inception of something huge – a unicorn in the making, perhaps? I’m so excited to see where this journey leads...

It always seems impossible until it’s done (I'm very excited about this project) I am currently participating in an incredible hackathon organized by Aimset this month. It’s an amazing experience where I am working as both a Product Designer and a Front-End Developer. Aimset's hackathon, "Aim for Impact," involves participants from four realms—Atrom (environment), Berus (health), Nova (education), and Saber (connectivity). (I chose Berus 😁 ) The event aims to address societal issues by developing solutions. Participants can choose their realm based on interests and skills, collaborate with fellow innovators, and work towards creating a positive impact on the world.
