Flipkart and the Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project today signed an MOU, at TN-Rise, organized by the #TamilNadu government and The World Bank. The partnership is aimed at supporting women entrepreneurs, startups, and FPOs in the state by providing them market access through ecommerce. This initiative also aims to train and empower women SHGs and craftspeople of the state. Flipkart was represented by Dhiraj Kapur, Vice President Corporate Affairs and Government Relations. In 2024, Flipkart made a significant impact with its Video Commerce approach. The highest viewership for a single Live Commerce video reached 1.4 million. Customers were able to access hours of specially curated content through on-app videos, featuring popular celebrities and influencers such as RJ Karishma, Ranvijay Singha, Siddharth Nigam, Varun Sood, and Pooja Gaur.
