During my stay in Gurugram last summer, I was introduced to the world of quick commerce through Blinkit, Zepto, and Bigbasket billboards. Initially hesitant, I now rely on these services for all my grocery and non-regular needs. With the evolution of quick commerce, we will witness a huge shift in brand preferences and utility of products, leading to high expectations. Current data shows that Blinkit leads the market with a 45% share, followed by Swiggy Instamart and Zepto. As per estimates, the current market size is 3 billion USD, and industry experts forecast a growth of 15X by 2030. This change in behavior will disrupt many brands in the market. Only promising brands that fulfill customer needs in less than 10 minutes will flourish. The success of Blinkit and other quick commerce platforms proves that there is a huge demand for quick and convenient services.
