A top notch day on Capitol Hill with National Security Institute (NSI)! Thanks to all of our expert panelists on Russia, Iran, and the complexities of the Middle East in these dynamic times of overlapping regional and global adversaries. Looking forward to more in the series from Kelly Crowley on global repression! Also thanks to Emma S. for exceptional preparatory materials - she’s a law student at George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and did great research and writing in advance of a standing room only panel. Icing on the cake for the day was getting to spend some time with my old pal, and Michael Sullivan who is back stateside and doing amazing work to promote international #ruleoflaw around the world through the programs of American Bar Association. It was also excellent to see all of the bipartisan and bicameral staff attendance in Rayburn’s banquet room… it gives me hope for a future of bipartisan policy work on Capitol Hill! Thanks Jessica Jones, Keelin Wolfe, Devlin Birnie along with the volunteers who really made for a great event! Thanks also Martha Miller, Ray Takeyh, Mark N. Katz and Benham Taleblu for sharing your expertise on some hard problems facing the nation!
