Volkswagen will invest more than €30 billion in the planned launch of nearly 70 e-models over the next 10 years. 🔹𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: The German government is funding more than a dozen pilot projects on autonomous driving. Amazing - Audi's new concept car with augmented reality technology Audi has unveiled a new concept car called the Audi Activesphere, which features support for augmented reality (AR) technology. The vehicle is an all-electric luxury SUV that can double as a small pickup truck. It features a range of over 600 km, 800-volt charging technology, and no local emissions. The interior of the vehicle uses AR glasses to display interactive 3D content over the real world, providing critical driving status and navigation. The vehicle does away with conventional control panels in favor of digital interfaces viewable using the AR glasses. The system can tell when an occupant is focused on a specific part of the console and provide more detailed information. The vehicle also features an autonomous driving mode during which the dashboard, steering wheel, and pedals disappear, and an on-board bar. Benchmarking Excellence: Highlights from P3 Car Experience Beijing In April, we hosted, together with our P3 China team, the P3 Car Experience Days in Beijing. The event brought industry leaders and enthusiasts together to explore the latest innovations in the Chinese #automotiveindustry. Attendees were treated to live demonstrations, experiencing cutting-edge technology in vehicles. Engaging sessions on #UX and #ADAS systems provided invaluable insights into Software Defined Vehicles and autonomous driving systems. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to connect with professionals, including our colleagues Marco Dargel, Marcel Achnitz, and Marius Müller.   ADAS Benchmark The event underscored the impressive advancements in autonomous driving and user experience by Chinese OEMs. Direct engagement with the technology offered a unique perspective on user experience and potential pain points. Most importantly, our highlight was conducting an ADAS benchmark, thoroughly testing the Aito M9, Ji Yue 01, XPENG X9, Li Auto MEGA, NIO ET7, Xiaomi Technology SU7 Max, Baojun Yunduo and BYD Song L. Through thorough testing in different traffic situations, we have compiled our insights into a comprehensive report.
